FAQ
For Parents

Built around parent control.

Ranger's Path Physical Education is designed for minors to use inside a household. The parent account owns the educational record, verifies training, controls safety gates, and reviews assessment evidence.

Parent-owned account

Student Ranger profiles live under the household account.

Private assessment links

Students submit a link for the parent; staff do not score or publish family assessment videos.

Safety gates

Parents approve live-practice readiness for each weapon module.

Family records

Hours, progress, readings, trials and grades are visible to the parent for homeschool documentation.

What the app stores

The app may store the parent account email, household settings, student Ranger profile information such as name, age or grade, training logs, verified minutes, course progress, reading completion, assessment status, parent feedback, and the final course grade. This information supports the educational experience and family record.

Student assessment videos

The app stores the private link a family submits for a Ranger Trial. The video itself remains with the service the family chooses to host it, such as a private cloud-drive link or unlisted video link. Families should use sharing settings appropriate for a minor. Ranger's Path staff are not required to review, score, or publish those videos.

Parent control

Parents verify PE minutes, review assessment links, approve safety gates, verify reading missions, and approve the final grade. The course does not require a student social network, public leaderboard, Discord server, or direct messaging with Dash.

Account and service security

Family records are accessed through authenticated accounts. Families should use a strong password, avoid sharing login credentials outside the household, and restrict any external video links to the smallest audience necessary. No online service can promise absolute security, so the course is intentionally designed to minimize unnecessary student-facing social features and public sharing.

Physical safety

Parents are responsible for lawful use, suitable equipment, appropriate supervision, safe targets and backstops, and determining whether a student is ready for each discipline. The app's safety gates are a workflow aid; they do not replace parental judgment, local rules, or appropriate real-world precautions.

Educational records

The printable course record is generated from activity recorded and verified in the household account. The parent remains responsible for retaining the record, assigning the final grade, and determining how it is submitted or stored for Mother of Divine Grace or other homeschool requirements.
