What problem is Ranger's Path Physical Education solving?
Many homeschool parents are left to assemble PE themselves—choosing workouts, deciding how much activity counts, finding something their teenager will actually do, and then documenting it. Ranger's Path puts the year into one progression: training, historical skills, safety, minutes, parent verification, assessments, and a printable record.
Is this actually a PE course or just a weapons course?
It is a physical education course. Historical weapons are the engagement engine. Students also complete warm-ups, conditioning, mobility, strength, endurance, deliberate practice, and progressive skill work. Only active physical training counts toward the 120-hour PE record.
How does this fit with Mother of Divine Grace?
The student experience is mission-based, while the parent side is structured around homeschool documentation: 36 weeks, 120 verified hours, reading correlations, assessments, recommended grading, and a printable record. The reading companion points students back to books already present in their MODG studies rather than replacing the MODG syllabus.
How much parent involvement is required?
Parents do not need to coach the techniques. They create student profiles, confirm safety and equipment, verify submitted PE minutes, review private Ranger Trial videos, verify reading missions, and approve the final grade. Parent participation in the workouts is optional.
What ages is this designed for?
The founding MODG version is designed for students roughly ages 12–18. Families can decide whether an individual child is mature enough for each training discipline and whether the available training space is appropriate.
Can girls participate?
Yes. The tone and formation language are intentionally strong and Ranger-oriented, but the course is open to boys and girls.
What equipment do we need?
Families obtain their own equipment. The course uses sling, longbow, spear, javelin, and throwing axe training modules. Equipment can often be shared among siblings when appropriate. Each live weapon module has a parent-controlled safety gate.
Do we receive a starter pack?
No. The family is responsible for obtaining the required training equipment. This keeps the school edition simpler, more affordable, and easier for households with multiple students.
How are safety and supervision handled?
Parents remain the final authority. The app requires household safety acknowledgment and weapon-specific parent approvals before students can complete live-practice missions. Parents are responsible for lawful use, suitable equipment, a safe target and backstop, appropriate supervision, and stopping any activity that becomes unsafe.
How are the 120 hours documented?
Students enter active PE minutes. Those minutes remain pending until the parent verifies them. The parent dashboard totals verified time and the printable course record shows the training log.
How do Ranger Trials work?
At key points students record a clear attempt at the assigned standard. The video is submitted as a private link for the parent. The parent marks Pass, Practice & Retry, or Safety Concern and may leave feedback. Ranger's Path staff do not review family assessment videos.
How is the grade determined?
The app calculates a recommended grade using verified training, completion, and assessment progress. The parent remains the final authority and approves the actual course grade after the completion requirements are met.
What is the storyline for?
The storyline gives the year a sense of progression. Each act pairs a historical discipline with a virtue: Discipline, Patience, Fortitude, Prudence, Courage, Temperance, and Stewardship. The objective is to make formation concrete through repeated physical practice.
Does the reading companion add another history class?
No. It is intentionally light. The app points the student back to books already in the student's MODG history sequence and gives a short question or lens connecting those studies to the current physical discipline.
Does Dash interact directly with my child?
No direct interaction is required. Dash provides the recorded instruction and course world. There are no required calls, cohorts, student community, or direct messaging with Dash.
Is there a leaderboard or student social community?
No. The MODG family edition does not require leaderboards, Discord, battle-buddy groups, or a student social community.
Can siblings share one purchase?
Yes. The household model is designed for one parent account with multiple Ranger profiles. Each student has separate progress, hours, trials, readings, and records.
How long does access last?
The founding offer is designed around 12 months of household access from purchase, giving the family room to complete the 36-week school-year experience without a rigid cohort calendar.
What if my student falls behind?
The course is not built around a live cohort deadline. Families can adjust the pace while preserving the sequence. The goal is safe, steady mastery—not rushing to catch up.
What happens at the end?
Students complete the Royal Ranger phase, integrate all five disciplines, and finish the Royal Ranger Trial. Parents then have a completed training record, verified hours, assessment history, and final grade to retain with their homeschool records.
